Born and raised outside of Philly, singer/songwriter eLLe Morgan sings funk-rock, soul-pop music. eLLe’s debut album “SouLchiLd” pulls from the classic stylings of Mavis Staples, Wilson Pickett, and Bettye Lavette while incorporating her contemporary influences of Sheryl Crow, Cee Lo Green, and Amy Winehouse. Her music is about groove and vibe. The songs tell a story of personal triumphs and hardships as well as self empowerment and love.
“SouLchiLd” was created/co-written with producer/engineer Matt Noble (Rod Stewart, Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears). The album was submitted on May 13th. It’s official release date was June 28th 2016. “SouLchiLd is now available on 37 streaming sources worldwide (i.e. iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, etc).

eLLe sang the National Anthem at The Wachovia Center (now Wells Fargo Center) in Philadelphia. 25,000 people got to hear her voice that day. The event was also broadcasted on 610 WIP’s radio station.
In addition to eLLe’s new and first record, two original songs that she and Matt Noble wrote are featured in the independent film “Hide The Sausage.” The film won Best Film Noir at Manhattan Film Festival. eLLe has a small cameo role in the film.
